A scary situation unfolded Thursday afternoon, Jan. 3, when a vehicle struck the Baylor Scott and White Clinic on Texas Business 6 southbound in Navasota. The vehicle belonging to a patient of the clinic drove into the lobby which has a waiting room. No one was in the waiting room at the time and no injuries were reported.

Grimes County Commissioners began 2024 with a light agenda dominated by the Road & Bridge Department at its Jan. 3 Regular Meeting. Commissioners approved County Engineer Jon Steiber’s requests to extend a Special Road Use Agreement with Black and McDonald for CR 178 and Special Road Use Permits for both Key Capture Energy, LLC and Ortiz USA, LLC.
