KATY — Navasota High School Band members earned multiple medals at the UIL Region 27 Early Solo and Ensemble Contest at Cypress Lakes High School in Katy.

The previous playground along Fort Worth Street was next to Hwy 39. The new playground is in a safer location within the interior of the campus. The PTO helped with the cost of the playground which was $160,000. Superintendent Jeff Dyer said the playground will be open to the public.
