Live music begins at 5 p.m. Friday with Brian Black. Grupo Solido takes the stage from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and La Energia Norteña performs from 8:30 to 10 p.m.

At a Special Meeting workshop of the Navasota City Council Feb. 26, council members received information about Public Improvement Districts (PIDs) as a financing tool for new developments and a possible Chapter 380 Agreement for the Pecan Groves Estates subdivision. At the Feb. 26 Regular Meeting, the Navasota City Council approved Resolution No. 760-24 supporting a grant application to the USDA Rural Development for the Community Facilities Direct Loan, Grants and Guarantee Loans Program for the purchase one Motorola Zetron dispatch console for the Navasota Police Department Dispatch Division. The resolution also authorizes the city manager and mayor to act on Navasota’s behalf.

RICHARDS – Construction from the 2021 Richards Independent School District Bond is nearing completion. Remaining construction was presented to the RISD Board of Trustees during the Feb. 15 meeting.
