Read moreAt the April 3 meeting of Grimes County Commissioners Court, County Engineer Jon Steiber announced the dates to receive public comments on proposed changes to lot dimensions for new developments in Grimes County. Public hearings will be held in Commissioners Court at the Grimes County Justice & Business Center on Wednesday, April 16 at 9 a.m. with a night meeting tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, April 30 at 7 p.m. The proposed changes to the Grimes County Subdivision Rules and Regulations were prompted by a request from a private developer for a mix of 40, 50 and 60-foot minimums in the development design. At the March 23 meeting, Steiber clarified that by approving the changes the court was not approving a variance for a particular developer but the changes “would apply across the board to any particular development.”
